Abstract

Health is an important think for human. Ironicly, there are many disease that in the end is too late to be diagnose until reaching the chronical stage which is hard to handle. But actualy the case was every desease before reaching the chronical stage usualy show common symptom like headache, cough, or usual pain. This Expert System cover 15 kind of desease that usualy happened to us such as acne, allergy, anorexia, dry cough, cold cough, nutrition deficiency, fever, dandruff, constipation, burned wound, bruised, muscle pain, throat pain, obese, and varicose veins. The purpose of this expert system is to help user to determine what kind of disease and medicine that she/he may have. And by using voice recognition interaction between human and computer will be more easy. With this expert system people can just use this software to check their illness at their house which that illness can be cured by itself, cured by drink a common drugs, or must contact a doctor. This expert system made by using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 as a programming language, Microsoft Access 2003 as a database, and a Microsoft Voice Recognition Engine ActiveX component to convert sound. For the method to developed this expert system was using Forward Chaining technique, and a decision tree as a representation of knowledge also a descriptif method as a research method. This expert system is using Voice recognition (input with voice) with the result that this software will be more interactive like we communicate with doctor or medical expert. Voice recognition itself was a technology that promise us to change the way we interact with computer. Although the word recognizing error still high. Keyword :
