With existence of regulation of government No. 63 / 1991 every company of insurance is expected to improve its growth of effort and also improve obtained profit of capital. The mentioned is called Return on Equity. If solvency level (using total debt to total asset ratio) is higher then financial leverage is also higher, if financial leverage is higher then return on equity is more quick. The intentions of this research are to know about solvency level at PT. Asuransi Tri Pakarta, to know about return on equity at PT. Asuransi Tri Pakarta, and to know about influence of solvability level to return on equity at PT. Asuransi Tri Pakarta. This research object are solvability level and return on equity every month during period 2002 until 2006 at PT. Asuransi Tri Pakarta. Pursuant to result of calculation, then known that solvency level not influences return on equity. This influence is expressed in calculation of correlation coefficient equal to -0,495. This means (according to criterion correlation coefficient classification table of Guilford) included in category “enough correlation” between solvency level and return on equity, and characteristic of that relationship is not unidirectional and influence of solvency level to return on equity is 24,5 %, while the rest (75,5 %) is influenced by another factors, such as production effectiveness, distribution effectiveness, and also financial effectiveness and common management.
