Abstract

These days civil building have a lot of using substance from steel as structure of the core important. Beam is represent one of among structure element which is at most met in each structure, and most used as structure of floor supporter, good floor the building and also dance bridge. Computer program of structure engineering SAP2000 differ from the other computer program, because consumer program the structure engineering claimed to comprehend the background of method of solution and boundaries yielded from the program. program consumer which not true have potency to yield the mistake which high risk in such a way till program maker do not want to be entangled to guarantee the arising out loss, to prevent the occurence which serious condition in design steel structure with the calculation automatically by using program SAP2000, is hence needed a comparator that is using calculation of in its manual. Structure planning steel for the building in Indonesia in this time relate at newest regulation that is SNI 03-1729-2002 using method LRFD. The regulation adopt the regulation from United States that is American Institute of Steel constuction - Load and Resistance Factor Design ( AISC-LRFD). Design with the method of factor of resilience and factor burden ( LRFD) is method to plan the structure so that no boundary condition went beyond. In the reality beam calculation nip and joint - rold conducted automatically use the SAP2000 with manual ( SNI 03-1729-2002 / AISC-LRFD 1999) its result of equal as for different, its difference very small.
