Abstract

In the process of design plane truss steel there are several requirements needed as a base theory. Those requirements are SNI 2002 and AISC-LRFD 2005 code. In fact, both of the requirements have a differences in designing the plane truss steel. In the process of designing plane truss steel for compression structure component with AISC-LRFD 2005 code, the result shows different numeric with the result of SNI 2002 code. The similar thing is showed in the process of design for tension structure component, where some formula’s in AISC-LRFD 2005 code not be found in SNI 2002 code. The final result define the planning method of element forces in compression and tension condition of plane truss steel structure with AISC-LRFD 2005 code has some advantage in economic side compared with SNI 2002 code.
