The purpose of this research was done to find clear description about scholarship given, the media used, the message, and the role of Public Relation in increasing image by giving scholarship to some student. The writer used descriptive method in doing this research, and the data was collected by direct observation and interview. In this research, the writer took some example, Public Relations of PT. Pikiran Rakyat Bandung consisting of 4 people. The activities conducted by the Public Relations of PT. Pikiran Rakyat Bandung in increasing the image by giving the scholarship through the training on journalistic and literacy. The media used was the printing media group of PT. Pikiran Rakyat Bandung and media of electronic such as Mustika FM radio, and TVRI Bandung. The message is very informative and persuasive. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that the scholarship given through the training by PT. Pikiran Rakyat Bandung is appropriate for the students. It is suggested that PT. Pikiran Rakyat Bandung do more activities as the realization of giving scholarship and the role of Public Relations of PT. Pikiran Rakyat Bandung can increased continuously, the quality of human resources can be increased, such as adding some education level and training that have relations with Public Relations.
