By the develoving of educational nowdays, there are many school which do many efforts to realize it by doing many kinds of mending in such of infrastructure case and teaching. One of them is by giving the teaching of foreign language to the student, even they are not the students of language class. So does in SMUN 2 Majalengka, an excellent school in Majalengka regency which has applied the curriculum. The foreign language that is given in that curriculum is Japanese language, because nowdays, it is very important to introduce foreign language as a tool of communication that supports someone’s ability in facing the globalization era. Moreover SMU grade has accepted many kinds of language lesson, such as English, Mandarin, Jerman and many other foreign language. But it is not sure whether the students can accept and understand it easily or not because there are many kinds of foreign language those are studied by them. And so about the way of teaching, certainly the teachers have difficulties. Although in giving the materialis not as easy as in accepting it, in this case, I am as the writer will try to analyze the problem hose are faced in giving the material of foreign language to the students of SMU class XI IPA which is not language class.the title I take is “The Problems in Teaching Japanese Language in SMUN 2 Majalengka Class XI IPA 2”. The obstacles those are faced are : 1. The students are not really serious in studying Japanese language because they feel that they are not the students who choose language class. 2. The students are not interested in studying Japanese language because they feel difficult to remember and write the words. 3. The time of studying is limited. 4. The students feel that they do not need to pay attention the material because the material is not given by their teacher. After analyzing the problems above, I am as the writer try to find the solution of those obstacles, so that in the process of teaching and learning Japanese language there will not happen such case above again. And the process of teaching and learning will be more enjoyable. But not all the obstacles can be solved, I just give the description in facing those problems. Basen on my research when I teach in SMAN 2 Majalengka, I want to give suggestion for the better teaching and learning process in the future. The process of teaching and learning process should be created as interested as possible. And it would be better if the material given adding by picturesor tools which make the students easy to remember the material given by the teacher. Besides that, control and motivation should be given so that the students will realize the importance of every material given by the teacher, although the material that they accept is not the material of their academic field.
