Abstract
Explanation show that \"good and evil\" in Nathaniel Hawthorne\'s A Young goodman Brown is interesting to be analyzed. It will bee analyzed by finding the hidden meaning from the symbol in the short story. The analysist will be limited to character and setting since both has a significant meaning to the story.
