The purpose of this site is to provide an informational resource for librarians interested in the many issues of library support fordistance learners. Many providers of library support for distance learning have an ultimate goal of providing service andresources to off-campus learners that are equal to the service and resources available to students on the campus. In the samevein, one of the major goals in constructing this site has been to provide equitable access to information. All information on thissite should be accessible by anyone, regardless of geographic location and/or proximity to a major library. As a result, all of theresources listed in this site are available via the World Wide Web. Some of the resources at this site are in pdf format, andrequire the use of an appropriate reader. Users may obtain a reader by downloading the Adobe Acrobat Reader from theAdobe site.
