This report, entitled ��A Comparative Study of the usage particle ��deh�� and ��dong�� as communicative and expressive translation in Novel ��The Choice��, discussed about the generally attempted to compare the process how sense expressive and communicative translation in terms of specific field. The purpose of this report is the comparative process for finding lexical and cultural equivalent through popular novel in translation.The theory used to analyze the data is taken from Larson. The method used in this report is descriptive comparative. The data of this report was taken the text from the popular novel The Choice by Nicholas Spark where the writer conducted job training.As the result of the cases, the writer found the comparison between two languages. The target language, translator tried to add particle ��deh�� and ��dong�� for comparison, the aims of the adding particle ��deh�� and ��dong�� made the context has different sense.
