Traditional medicine or original Indonesian herbal medicine, to some extend empirically proved to be useful, however up till now the optimal dosage and its safety have never been reported. The objective of this study is to know the microscopic structure of mice liver and kidney after giving a multi dosage infusion of rhizomes of Zingiber officinale. The subjects consisted of 24 female mice in good general condition, 3 months old with body weigh around 25-30 gr, divided into 4 groups of 6 mice each. Water was given ad libitum and 521 to all of groups. The first group (P1) was given 521 and aguadest, the second group (P2) was given infusion of Zingiber rhizomes with 45% consen- P3 and P4 were given 90% and 180% consentration. All of the oral treatment were continued for a month, and then all the animals were slaughtered. Liver and kydney microscopic slides were made with parafin methode and hematoxylin eosin Yellowish staining.Histological structure of the 90% consentration of Zingiber rhizomes showed hidrophic degeneration of the liver cells, but not on epithelial cell of kidney tubules. The polymorphonuclear cell colony begin to appear on both liver and kidney on the 45% concentration.
