Based on tradition and a few research works, Wungu leave (Graftophyllum pictum Grift) was used to treat haentorrhoid, abscess, ulcus and hit related swollen. How the W Wungu leave works is not known tip till now. To know the analgesic effect of Wungu leave, we made two kinds of extract: crude extract and flavonoid extract. Those extracts were fed to 72 male white rats (Rattus rattus Wister strain) age 2 to 3 months, with weight 150 to 175 grain and then divided into 8 groups of 9 each. Three groups were fed with crude extract of 88.4 mg, 132.6 mg and 176.8 mg per Kg BW and other 3 groups were fed with falvonoid extract of 5.28 mg, 10.56 rig and 15.84 mg per Kg BW. The rest (zero groups were used as control. Analgesic test was carried out on 0, 30, 60 and 120 minutes after the extracts were fed to the rats.
