To know the protective effect of probucol antioxidant to vascular endothelial cell of rat exposed to stressor, we took 35 male, BW 200 grain, 3 month old Wistar albino rats that divided into 5 groups of 7 rats each, where G 1 and G 2 are control groups, and the other G 3, G4 and G5 are treated groups. G 1 was fed by probucol solvent ad libitum for 3 weeks, G 2 was fed by probucol solvent ad libitum and provided stressor for 3 weeks, G 3 was fed by probucol ad libitum of 5 mg/rat (dose 1) for 3 weeks, G 4 was fed by probucol ad libitum of 10 mg/rat (dose 2) and provided stressor for 3 weeks, and G 5 was fed by perbucol ad libitum of 20 mg/rat (dose 3) and provided stressor for 3 weeks. At final days of the treatment, all rats were anesthetized with ether and from each rat we took 5 cc of blood by cardiac puncture for circulating endothelial examination in line to Hladovic and Rossman 1973 method.Data collected were analyzed by Anova followed by LSD test, The result shows that the mean of circulating endothelial cell increased significantly (p < 0.05) in G 1 and G 2 (control groups). If compared between control group G 2 and G 2 to treated group G 3 and G 4, it comes out that there is a significant different (p < 0.05) but there is no significant different if compared to G 5 ( p> 0.05). It can be concluded that stressor administered to rats increase the circulating endothelial cell, but probucol with dose: 5, 10 and 20 mg/rat decrease it.
