Antenatal Care is a kind of treatment for pregnant woman during pregnancy before the baby born. Antenatal Care have an important role to reduce the death rate of maternal and perinatal. Systematic health treatment before partus is usefull for mother`s health (emotional and physical) and for the baby. As a mother, the woman should know about antenatal care and doing it temporally as the doctor advised.This research have been done at Puskesmas Ciptomulyo Malang on July 8 up to 18, 2002. The purpose is to know clearly the viewpoint of primigravida about antenatal care. The design of this research is description. The respondent takes from primigravida (15 womans) who goes to Puskesmas Ciptomulyo Malang to check up their pregnancy. Method of gathering data is using questioner which processed by percentage. The result mentioned that the perception of primigravida about antenatal care including good (86,67 %) and enough (13,33 %). The perception of primigravida influenced by their knowledges, jobs, ages, and pregnancy. It is important to do more research about the relation between ANC and mortality rate of maternal and neonatus.
