This research is a case study in PT. PLN. (PERSERO) Malang that is classified as a descriptive study because it is limited in revealing a problem or situation or facts (finding facts). This research entitled as“ Management Audit to personnel functions as an effort to increase employees’ performance in PT. PLN. (PERSERO) Malang”. The aim of this research is to know the implementation of management audit to personnel functions and its conformity to the company’s policies. The analysis tool used is variance analysis, that is comparing the policies applied with the realizations. The first step is collecting facts, and the next is studying the causalities why those problem occurred. Basically, personnel management that had been applied at PT. PLN (PERSERO) is appropriate with the company’s policy to get the best performance of its employee. But the research has found some problems that need to be corrected. One of the problem is the misreading of KWh meter, that happened because the lack of data collector officials. The next problem is the lack of Stand Meter stocks that is caused by the lack of coordination between logistic department and marketing department, in which one’s job is to prepare the stocks and the other is to forecast the units to be marketed. This caused incorrect claim of billings to the customers by the company and also delayed new units to be installed. The other problem is that the job description of each employee need to be more specified. Based on the results explained above, it can be concluded that personnel management , particularly in customer service and network service, needs to be improved, by adding data collector officials and good planning in Stand meter inventory (making more coordination between logistic department with marketing division).
