The most popular artificial intelligence techniques was expert system. Because it was applicable in many area including in business. The proposed system could detect disease and pest of durians. This system acts as expert of agricultur engineer. The disease and pest become goal which can be included by means of their symptoms. Every symptoms was asked to user in interactive session. The conclusion of this system was six disease and three pest , i.e. kanker batang, busuk buah, karat daun, busuk akar fusarium, busuk akar pythium , penggerek batang, penggerek buah and rayap. All conclusion are written in Indonesian language. Reasoning method to accomplish this conclusion was forward chaining method. The application designed by Borland Delphi Ver. 6.0.
