the purpose of this study was to understand more deeply the culture shock experienced by Indonesian nurses and the things that helped in intercultural adaptationto face culute shock in Japan, especially in relation to information technology and online media, to Indonesian nurses working in Japan through the EPA program 2008-2015. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection method is literature study. The conclusions of this study are that the four nurses experience culture shock phases, namely the optimistic phase, the cultural phase and the adjust ment phase. In adaptation facing culture shock, there is the role of information technology, namely online media in intercultural adaptation to face culture shock in Japan in a case study of Indonesia nurses working in Japan through the EPA program 2008-2015
