Japan has many dialects or language variations. The dialects used in Se3ndai located at Tohoku area are one of them. This study discusses the form and meaning of Sendai dialect in the novel entitled Aoba Shigereru by Inoue Hisashu, this study has two researcg problems. Firstly is, how is the form of ��be used in the novel Aoba Shigerery and the second is, what is the meaning of ��be in the novel Aoba Shigereru. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method that describes the form and meaning of the dialect ��be in the novel Aoba Shigereru that takes place in Sendai. The results of this study are, the form of ��be forms generally follows non-ru verbs, -ru verbs, verbs, adjectives, and nounds followed by ��da, -noda, adjective and past form. The form of ��pe generally follows the verb ��ru and disappears. However, in the novel aslsp found non-ru verb form followed by the form ��pe. But in the novel it was also found another meaning such as conclusions, (��confirmation, capturing through the five senses, and beliefs) uncertain assumptions, suspicious (asking yourself), emphasizing assumtions (��.), feeling awe, polite questions, and weak questions.
