This paper presents the reflective study of the main method in teaching the students to build their robots in the Divisi Robotika UNIKOM which has been implemented since 2006.The Do It Your Self (DIY) learning method on building a robot emphasizes in the autonomy in their learning and building phase based on their project. By this method we try to avoid to use any off the self robot kit, as far as we could. Finally, to show the student-centered accountability learning outcomes this paper presents the number of awards won in many robotic competitions, both national and international wide from 2006 until 2013.
