Classification is one of the data mining functions, which aims to find knowledge or valuable patterns of relatively large to very large datasets, which are mostly stored in DBMS (Data Base Management System). The Decision tree classification algorithm is implemented to analyse and predict the economic based effective contraceptives, with a sample in 5 Districts, 22 Villages and 34.866 acceptor at city of cirebon in Indonesia. This approach optimizes parameters such as age, income, husband's education; wife is education, first family planning (FP) practice, the duration of contraceptive use, economic status, contraceptives, built a tree, learning speed, and the amount of memory used. There is a tradeoff between these parameters. The overall results that have been obtained indicate that C4.5 (decision tree model) classification algorithm can be used with rapidminer software tools to make a model to solve the problems in relation to the selection of effective contraception.
