Abstract
The purpose of this memorandum is to report a new information on the status and local exploitation of Eos histrio (Red-and-Blue Lory). This species is endemic to the Talaud and Sangihe islands, and was included on appendix I of CITES at the ninth meeting of parties in Florida 1994, following proposal from LIPI/PHPA which presented evidence to suggest the international trade of wild caught birds might threaten in the species' survival.
