Abstract

The Increasing of modern retail business this time, such as mall or plaza in various cities in mother-land, has undeniably changed the shopping patterns of partial Indonesian consumers. This case concerns the factor of personality and lifestyle such as the occurrence of lifestyle changes and shopping habits. In the reality, consumers often do not use their mind irrationality in determining the goods which are completely needed. Consumers buy the product with various reasons, such as: eliminating bad mood, expressing identity or just having fun. The purpose of this research is to obtain the result from: Assessment description about The Big Five Personality, materialism consumer, and purchasing impulsive on mall visitors in Bandung city; Analysis of the influence The Big Five Personality and Materialism Consumers against Purchasing Impulsive on mall visitors in Bandung city. Type of research which is used is descriptive and verificative. The data collection techniques were the literature study and field study. Field studies used observation, interviews and questionnaires. Samples were taken from 300 Mall visitors in Bandung city. Samples withdrawal technique used Systematic Random Sampling. Model of the influence of analyzed used the Structural Equation Model. The results of research showed the existence of The Big Five Personality Influences and Materialism Consumers against Purchasing Impulsive on mall visitors in Bandung city, where the most dominant influence affect the impulsive purchase is the Neuroticism trait whereas the smallest influence against the impulsive purchase is the agreeableness trait.
