Abstract

Along with the advance of ages and the development of human¢s brain, internet has appeared as a part of them. Its role in human life is very significant since it has helped facilitate them in everything, gaining information in particular. In addition, internet can¢t work without being helped by other linked components, one of them is language. A good language through a good grammatical structure will help facilitate the process of transferring information. Nonetheless, looking at the condition of language particularly English used in UNIKOM website that is grammatically inappropriate, the writer tried to help correct it. He translated the website documents of UNIKOM in his job training. Then, through a descriptive method, the writer tried to present the problems found during the job training along with their solutions in this job training report entitled The Translation of Website Documents of UNIKOM. As a result, he found that the structure of source language and target language is different and it is the problem actually, and then he used the theory of translation based on Larson¢s approach about an idiomatic translation to cope with the problem. To summarize, the most important thing in the process of translation is basically how the meaning from the source language can clearly be delivered without considering to the change of the structure of the target language.
