Abstract

The older we are, the bigger the possibility to be inflicted with erectile dysfunction. This could be related to various factors a/o: psychological, neurological, endorinological, vascular and iatrogenical etc. A full erection will only take place if there is vascular changes. This will be imposed by contraction of skeletal muscle of pelvic diaphragm. The most recent finding said that a new neurotransmitter called Nitric Oxide (NO) plays important role in penile erection. This finding open new possibility in managing erectile dysfunction.
