Abstract
Undang-undang keterbukaan informasi publik berawal dari RUU kebebasan memperoleh informasi publik (KMIP). Disahkan menjadi UU keterbukaan informasi publik pada Tahun 2008. Pemeintah diberi waktu 2 tahun untuk mempersiapkan infasturkutr sebelum pemberlakukan UU KIP secara penuh pada 01 Januari 2010 dengan membentuk Badan Informasi Publik (BIP) oleh Depkominfo.
