One of the procedures in jointed rock mass analysis is known as the equivalent material method. Fossum (1985) introduced Equivalent Elastic Continuum model as an approach to this method. To analyze jointed rock mass problem, a model as combination of equivalent Elastic Continuum model (Fossum, 1985) and rock mass strength reduction formula (Ramamurthy, 1993) is implemented into CESFL, a software package of finite element. As an application, a parametric study for slope stability analysis in jointed rock mass has been carried out using joint spacing and geometric modeling. From the joint spacing modeling, it is reported that an increased in joint spacing would decrease the horizontal displacement of the node of the slope face. It is also found that the joint spacing effect factor of the slope. Similarly, an increase in joint spacing will reduce the safety factor of the slope. The effect of slope inclination to the safety factor has also been studied, and it is reported that increasing the angle will reduce the safety factor of the slope. As the conclusion, it is found that the joint spacing and the slope inclination effect the safety factor of a slope.
